What does a typical visit to the C-SPAN Civics Bus include?

  • Several 20-minute, interactive demonstrations with visitors about C-SPAN programming, media literacy skills and the 2008 presidential cycle. A MAXIMUM of 12 visitors can board the Bus at a time.
  • Local media outlets are notified of event and invited to hear about your participation.
  • A visible and adequate parking location for the Bus that is coned off prior to the event(s). The Bus is 45-feet long, nine-feet wide and 13-feet high.
  • Local origination crews are welcome to tape segments from the Bus. Bus events offer an opportunity to interview key public officials with the Bus as a backdrop or studio.
