S.22, the Open and Accountable Campaign Financing Act of 2001, offered by Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE) >>
S.27, the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2001 (McCain-Feingold Bill), offered by Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI). >>
S.J.Res.4, Proposing an amendment to the United States Constitution, offered by Sen. Ernest Hollings (D-SC). S.J.Res.4 was defeated by a vote of 40 to 56 on Monday, March 26, 2001 >>
S.93, the Advancing Truth and Accountability in Campaign Communications Act of 2001, was also introduced in 2001 by Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Sen. James Jeffords (R-VT) >>

On Monday, April 2 the Senate passed the McCain-Feingold bill (S.27) by a vote of 59 to 41. >>
