C-SPAN has been a driving influence upon me politically. The absolute fairness is untouchable in today's media. Since I started watching C-SPAN in 1998, I have started a veterans organization, 501C19, advocated for the disabled across the country and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

I have written letters to editors and been on TV and radio making many aware of the needs of our nation's veterans. Some of this work has taken me straight to the Vice President's residence in 2000 by invitation for the 10th anniversary of the ADA.

My husband is a 100% disabled combat Vietnam veteran. I feel that I owed my husband and every other soldier who has worn the uniform and borne the battle a hand up for their service.

Every little bit helps and C-SPAN has helped greatly. We have adopted three children and I am very informed when asked to speak at their schools.

You have given so many everyday people the courage to express and exercise their thoughts. C-SPAN keeps people aware and gives a voice to the voiceless and help to the helpless. I am in the process of writing a book and making a get out the vote CD.

It is true that one life touches another and in comparing C-SPAN to "It's a Wonderful Life," C-SPAN is George Bailey. Thank you, C-SPAN.

Happy 25 years
