AIRING THE EVENT | INFORMATION FOR VIEWERS

As you may know, the primary mission of the C-SPAN networks is to provide live gavel-to-gavel coverage of both houses of Congress. However, whenever Congress is not meeting, C-SPAN provides coverage of a variety of public affairs events. Bringing these events to you each day is a complicated process involving the interaction of numerous people. To give you a clearer picture of how this process works, we thought it would be interesting to take you on a virtual tour to show you how we develop programming at C-SPAN.

This tour will begin in the C-SPAN offices as events are selected for coverage. From there, you will go on an actual shoot to see how events are covered. Finally, the tour will conclude in the C-SPAN control facilities as the event is broadcast into millions of homes. Clicking on any picture on the tour will take you to a larger version of the image.
