Thirty years ago, Iranian militants stormed the United States Embassy in Iran taking U.S. citizens and diplomats hostage for 444 days. Two years ago, Haleh Esfandiari was also held captive by the Iranian government. She joins us to discuss U.S. - Iran relations, the history of Iran dating back to the 1950's and Iran hostage anniversary. She has also written a new book on her experiences, “My Prison, My Home: One Woman’s Story of Captivity in Iran.”
