Health Hazards in Plastics
Today
The Senate Commerce Consumer Affairs Subcmte. is looking at the health hazards caused by chemicals found in plastic products. Water bottles and other common household items often contain bisphenol-A (BPA), a chemical that leaches out of plastic and may be harmful to consumers. Sen. Mark Pryor (D-AR) chairs the hearing.
